The origins of the Society have been notoriously difficult to track, with several different stories from over the years. What is known is that it has been 75 years since Sir William Glasgow, a senior Australian Army officer and politician, sponsored a fund to set up the Society.
The miracle about our Society is that its roots were put down in a chancy and unpredicatable time in Australian post-war history.
The movement was nurtured with Scottish hospitality, Scottish heraldry, and Scottish humour - all qualities that prevail today, and all things we want to celebrate.
